The Brief
Flourish was a sermon series to emphasise on 6 topics of Christian discipleship to look into faith in a changing and uncertain environment.
Challenges
We took a photographic approach for this sermon series which was not used often. This time we would like to pursue a rustic style to portray a realistic texture to add a sense of proximity.
The Solution
We used a concept of an apothecary as a metaphor. These 6 topics are the ingredients of Christian discipleship and the medicine of faith is the mixture of them.
Moodboards
There were 3 directions initially to begin with, the abstract approach, the ingredient approach and the collage approach. The collage approach was selected for its vigorous and fun content.

To further emphasise on the ingredient concept, a style of apothecary was used to suggest this series is the ingredient of Christian discipleship. A photographic approach was taken to portray a rustic style to enhance the realistic texture.

6 posters were made for the 6 categories of Christian discipleship. The 6 elements are Scripture, Prayer, Community, Spiritual Friendship, Faith at Work and Evangelism. In each of the posters, an element was built to represent its corresponding categories.
Scripture lights the path of a Christian, like a candle.
Prayers are essential, and prayer beads symbolise them.
A community shaped by love shares joy with each other, like playing a board game together.
A spiritual bonding is soul-refreshing indeed, like a cup of coffee.
Bringing faith into work can be heavy but a different kind of worship.
